fall for this treasury!

Today was a perfectly beautiful late summer day, and I thoroughly enjoyed it during my lunch hour.  But you know what I don't enjoy? All the boring colors out for fall... and by colors I mean various shades of tan, off white, and shell pink.  SNOOZE!  Not to mention, these colors just aren't flattering on me.  And so, here's some fall finds with a bit more saturated color... Enjoy!

Shades of berry red, paprika, deep blue and hunter green I think would be a great addition to the creamy fall palette, don't you?

alpha gam treasury

I know, I know... you're sick of back to school.  And I'm not even GOING back to school.  But you know who is?  My sorority sisters.  They are back, in Troy, cleaning up the Alpha Gamma Delta house and preparing for another semester of being the classiest girls I know.  Because I love them, this week's treasury is all about the official Alpha Gam mascot, the squirrel!

I tried to find lots of different things... paper goods, home decor, accessories.  I really love the clock, and the locket.  These are things I could totally see being put to good use!

Hope you love it all... time for me to get back to work.  I've got lots of headbands already made for the Richmond County Fair next weekend... and I'm now working on some earrings!  I'm pretty excited about this :-)

you CAN take it with you

Since last week's treasury was a total bust, I decided to give myself a break this week and do something that would come together quickly and easily... and boy did it!  Almost every single item came from either my favorite items, favorite sellers, or suggested sellers... not to mention that the color scheme pretty much made itself.

Well designed bags and totes are so near and dear to my heart... I really hope you enjoy this one because I'm really proud of it! (can you tell??).  I've got a long ToDo list, so its back to work for me now...

organize your treasures

its tuesday again and i'm trying to keep up with my treasuries!  this week, i figured i would focus back on my desk for a bit... now that it's DONE, i need some accessories to spruce things up... and where else would i look but etsy? i've defaulted back to my favorite colors here, but i know you expect nothing less from me... click to check it out!

trip down treasury road...

my parents are starting to realize that summer is almost over, which means it is time to plan a road trip... previous road trips have included williamsburg, va and nashville, tn as well as weekend trips to lake george, ny or seaside heights, nj
basically, they love road trips... i am easily bored on road trips... my sister and i bring along books and magazines and lately even a laptop and dvds! i usually also end up napping for most of the way...
anyway, i'm blabbering, so i'll get to the point... i chose road trip as the theme for this week's treasury... i think its pretty!

some art, some journals, some maps... and a vw bus... i <3 vw... and the bus is so ridiculous! i saw a yellow one this morning and it made me smile :-)

treasury tuesday... mancave edition

i've been really bad with treasury tuesdays... i think i just get overwhelmed by the idea of a theme and searching for items... its been over a month since i made one!
this week's theme came to me pretty easily... PJ (as well as some other boys) were all saying things to the effect of "etsy is for girls" and "nobody makes things for guys on etsy"... um, they don't? because i'm pretty sure i've seen some good stuff for guys over on Etsy... and to prove it, i have compiled them here:

i think this one came out pretty good! i even tried a color scheme... it looks more cohesive than when im just like yea, whatever, colors... right?

treasury tuesday (wednesday)... a getaway

as you can see, im really trying to get this blog under control... i had some difficulty thinking of a treasury theme at first, and then it hit me... beach getaway!!  i tried to mix in a variety of items... accessories, clothing, art prints, etc (i even stuck in a vw bug pic! i have an old bug myself... so they hold a special place in my heart)... and i think it came out pretty good...

i'm not really a beach person (i don't play well with sand)... but if i had a beach vacation that included all these items, i'd be pretty happy about it!  hopefully i'll be back later... enjoy!

treasury tuesday... florals

so, i need more florals in my life... i've been trolling etsy (and pretty much everywhere) for all things floral, especially dresses and skirts... it's springtime, and the flowers i'm seeing outside are really inspiring the way i wish i was dressing... so here's my etsy floral picks!

don't you just LOVE this stuff?  once again, i've added items from some of my fave shops and blogs, including  plum pretty sugar, bow tie, and mandizzle... all lovelies, and totally inspiring... if i could just buy all of this, then i would have the perfect spring wardrobe!

new things i'm trying...

i think that i will be more inclined to post regularly if i have "theme days"... its hard trying to rein in my thoughts and put them into the blog, with pics, when im not doing anything particularly exciting... but i'm thinking that a few easy themes will keep my chaos a bit more organized...
theme #1: treasury tuesday!

this new Treasury East seems a lot less intimidating than the regular treasury system... and i've really been wanting to try it out, so my first treasury is all items with BOWS!  isnt it the cutest?  ive featured items from some of my favorite shops and blogs, and also a few items that inspire me!  just click on the pic to get a better look!
and yea, i know its wednesday now, but i made the treasury yesterday, and its the thought that counts, is it not?

theme #2: want wednesday!
so just about every day of my life, i send and receive random links from friends... generally a link to an item that costs too much, or is just not in the budget right now... and the word "WANT", as in "i WANT this right now!!" therefore, on wednesdays, i shall compile the beauteous WANTS of my own, so you can see just the look im striving for...

        

i had fully intended to post pics of bright floral sundresses today, because i've been seriously desiring them, but that will have to wait, because i wandered into express last night and was totally overwhelmed with desire for all shades of pink, with all manner of ruffles and rouching... fabulous

anyway, i hope this is a good way to keep me on target and you entertained :-)
