staying classy

And I mean that in the most literal sense ever... as in, I took a CLASS!  Maybe you know, or maybe you don't, but I'm not really an architect anymore.  I work in an architecture office, but on the marketing team... so I do mostly graphic design, a little writing when they let me, and a lot of organizing of images and information.
What does that have to do with my class?  Well, I took a graphic design class, and I plan to take a bunch more, not because I don't know how to design, but because I think that a class is a great environment to get creative and receive feedback.  Creativity and feedback are essentials to being a good designer, and I could use the practice and a bit of guidance.
Anyway, I wanted to share my work here, maybe for more feedback... but really more so you can all tell me how fabulous I am!  (just kidding, but feel free to comment either way)

Overall, I'm really proud of the work I did and I think I've grown so much as a designer since the class started.  I really need to put together a portfolio, maybe write a little paragraph about each of these projects and some of the ideas behind them.  I definitely feel more comfortable in graphic design than I ever did in architecture, and I hope it shows in my work.

  1. Love the plaid design very clever! Totally reminded me that I should really look for classes, I know my self-taughtness costs me a lot of time!

remember: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all :-)
